I've been thinking about organizing a home buyers' seminar this summer with Kristen Breglio, a great real estate attorney on this site, and perhaps Steve Simpson, of U.S. Mortgage Corporation, who is a very knowledgeable (and nice) loan officer and has helped many LIFers. We all have a lot of info that we'd love to share. And I'd love to meet some more LIF people in person.

So if there's enough interest, I would be happy to set that up.

But if you are looking for something more immediate, you might talk to your lender (if you have one in mind) or even just a local bank. My sil works for J.P. Morgan Chase, and I know she recently attended a home buying seminar put on by them.

Also, if you'd rather a private consultation, I often do complimentary home buying consultations with individuals or couples who are even just thinking about the process. It's a great opportunity for them to learn about the home buying process and get their questions answered in a low-key setting. I take a counseling, educational approach, so there's no commitment, no pressure... let me know if you are interested!
