ASAP need hotel recs for EASTERN LI
I'm going to be coming up to NY sooner than expected & not for liesure vacation. So I'm looking for some hotel recs around Middle Island, but flexible to going west a little too.
The funeral is in the area & Calverton.
It's been over 2 years since being up, so any help would be great on what's decent around there!

The Hyatt Place in Riverhead looks very nice. It's attached to the Aquarium. Also the Hilton Garden Inn looks nice as well, and is across from the outlets. I realize that you likely won't be doing those things, but just pointed them out for distance.
In the Medford area there is a Marriott Fairfield Inn. I happen to have a GC for a one night stay for there if you would like it. It's only good Sunday through Thursday.

There's a Wyngate by Wynham in Commack.
I know that's still a bit from Calverton, but my thought is that it will be less pricey than some of the ones closer to wine country.

There are hotels right off the lie at exit 63 and 64. I don't go that way much so I forgot the names
Maybe someone else remembers?

Hampton Inn and Raddisson are at 63
Not sure of the one at 64, but I know which one you are talking about. Looks a little seedy though.

There are two at Exit 64; one is the Fairfield Inn by Marriott which is fairly new.
The second one is Comfort Inn.
They are right next door to each other. It is a decent area.

The Comfort Inn is the one I was thinking of. The Fairfield looks nice though

Re: ASAP need hotel recs for EASTERN LI
Thank you all for the recs. We wound up finding a place by the islip airport. It's amazing that some places will take a reservation, but can't guarantee 2 beds until we check in. Then we have until 6pm to cancel. WTF, then look for a hotel up their. But we found one semi-close to my mom, with 2 beds. Not asking for much....what a PITA!!!!
