Harrisonburg, VA?!!??! anyone ever been (I know it is a long shot)
My DH is going on a business trip there for 4 days next week and with my DD done with school,I thought it might be different to actually go with him for a change.
Now I have to figure out what to do with 3 kids (4yrs, 3yrs, 6 mo) while I am there!
Anyone know of the area..
I already looked into Busch Gardens and that is 3hrs away (no thank you  ) and Washington DC which is 2.5 hrs away (no thank you )
Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated! I guess there is always the hotel pool

There is a ton to do there with kids. Shenandoah National Park is absolutely beautiful. Luray Caverns is nearby. Charlottesville is a great town as well.

thank you..i just began my search and I was able to find the national park and this awesome water park (Massanutten Waterpark ) not sure if my kids are old enough for it...but i am def going to look into it...thanks for that site it def helps having all in one website!

Massanutten is small. It gets a little crazy inside there. I was there something like 5 years ago but I'm not sure what it is like with little ones. We moved back to LI almost 2 years ago. Before we lived in Northern VA. DH and I loved to do Skyline Drive (inside Shenandoah). I took my 3rd graders to Luray a few times. Your kids may be too young to enjoy it.

We have stayed at Massanutten 3 times with our timeshare and it's great! The waterpark is not huge, but it's fun. They also have a lot of other organized activities, I'm not sure if you have to be staying there to participate. I would think you can get away with the go carts or mini golf without a problem. I think i remember them checking room cards at the pools. They also have a small build a bear type place that is open to the public. I believe there's a children's museum not too far too.
