BF questions
How long did you BF for?
When you stopped, what made you decide?
I am asking b/c nowthat I am back to work it is very hard and I find I am not making enough milk as I was. I am kind of disappointed b/c I wanted to BF for much longer than 8 weeks. How would I be able to produce more milk, besides the obvious of just having him eat more frequently? (I'm just not home enough to have him do this .. is there another way?)

Re: BF questions
I stopped at about 5.5/6 weeks. It was so difficult to decide but ultimatly the baby actually decided for me. I developed mastsis so DS was eating from one breast and I would pump the other. I wasn't making enough with the one breast to keep up with him so I would give him the bottles but my supply was dimishing. Since he was getting more than about 3 bottles a day he started to reject the breast and that ended my BF days. It was so hard for me to give him formula in the beginning. I would cry hsyerically and aplogize to DS but each bottle it got easier. Once I did switch to formula he started sleeping through the night so I was grateful for that and now he sleeps 12 hours a night.

Re: BF questions
I BF my son for a year, until he went on milk. I could only BF my daughter for 3 weeks because I got sick and was put on antibiotics and couldn't BF. But I would have BF for a year too.
Can you pump at work? That's really what you'll need to do, or else your body's milk production will regulate to the times you feed him. You can try drinking lots of water and eating oatmeal. Some poeple also say that taking fenugreek helps.
