Crib
I thought I found a crib to register for and when I googled reviews, I found all kinds of things about a recall (in 2009) from that company....not for the same crib though then I clicked on a link that showed a CBS special on drop side cribs and infant deaths. Do they still make drop sides? Reviews on amazon for this crib are all 4 stars or better..
Does anyone know anything about this? Also, what kind of crib are you registering for?

Re: Crib
I think dropside cribs are now illegal to sell.

Re: Crib
No more dropside cribs. Too many deaths occurred from them. They were all recalled and are not sold anymore. However, there are retro-fit kits that can bolt the former drop side to make it no longer function that way and the cribs are considered "safe."
What crib are you talking about? Did you check the Baby Bargain's Book and see what they said?
We have a Bonavita crib for DD and I love it. The same company (LaJobi) makes Graco cribs, which are MUCH cheaper but basically the same thing. They're on amazon for under $200. I'm considering one of those for #2 if I don't have #1 in a toddler bed by the time #2 comes along.
