I am dying for a pedi this season but the last time I went get my nails done I overheard a woman tell the tech. that her fungus still hasn't cleared up and they still worked on her.
It really grossed me out.
You know some people are just so freakin selfish!
I haven't gone for a pedi in forever because of my fungus. I know these money hungry a-holes will work on me too- they don't give a cr@p at health codes, etc- but I wouldn't want to spread this to anyone else.
Then I hear stories like this of people who just NEED to get that pedicure so damn bad that they go and infect everyone else.
Do your own damn toes!!! Are you that lazy???
Seriously! I get lots of compliments on my toes and i do 'em myself! I soak in one of those home foot spas, do the cuticles and paint. Im way too germphobic to put my feet in one of those public tubs

I agree. I also got a very bad case of fungus. Unlike others, I didn't get it treated, I guess I just hoped it would go away. It finally went away but as soon I went back months later, it returned. I might be more sensitive to it so I have never gone back. I do it myself. I do miss getting a pedicure but I am just too anxious about the whole situation.

I haven't had a pedi in ages. I was going to go next weekend before I go on vacation...and now I changed my mind. Not worth it! I think I will invest in a footspa though. Thanks for the idea Mushesgirl. :)

I am leary about getting pedicures because the day of my wedding I had one done and then nail on the big toe on my right foot split right down out of no where. It finally seems like it has started to to grow out. It has taken 3 years. I did mine myself last week and they look reallly good.
