New OB

Hey Girls, I think I'm coming back to this board sooner rather than later. Had a surprise BFP this weekend.

Unfortunately, I have to switch doctors for this delivery. I love love love my old doctor, but due to insurance issues I have to deliver in the NSLIJ hospital system.

SO please recommend your practice, I'm looking for either a single practitioner male or a practice with mostly male obs. I don't mind seeing a woman, but haven't had the best experience with them in the past. Looking for an office with excellent front office staff. I don't want to deal with not being able to make appointments etc. Somewhere in Nassau County is preferable!

I know this question has been asked a 1,000 times, but I never wrote anyone's responses down!!

Re: New OB

if you typically have uncomplicated pregnancies and like a laid back doctor try Dr. Cliff Goldstein in Great Neck. he delivers at LIJ. very nice guy and good doctor, GREAT GREAT office. very little wait, nice caring staff, 3d sonos included. only downside is that he is the only dr. that delivers at his practice so he uses and on-call group that delivers when he isnt available. but overall if you like a very calm doctor try him. he dx'd my pre-e early enough that he was able to put me on hospital bedrest and when i delivered i was already in the hospital. so even with his generally calm demeanor, he knew when things were critical and even though i still felt fine, he knew it was important for me to be in the hospital.

Dr Eysler. Hands down, he is the best! He makes me feel so comfortable, and he is just so nice. It's him and he has a midwife who is a woman, I don't see her since I have c-sections, but I can't say enough great things about him! He is in Plainview
