Girls winery trip- Napa, Sonoma, etc...
My sister will be turning 40 in December and really wants to do a winery trip. We're thinking somewhere in California MLK weekend. Anyway, I am normally a great trip planner, but I don't know where to start on this one. It would probably be 3-4 girls. Obviously we would be going for the wine, but a place that has some element of nightlife would be nice too. And as far as hotel suggestions, we would be pretty open but would prefer someplace that wasn't all romance and couples. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

I was just in that area - but visiting a friend who lives there, so can't give you any hotel advice, but you HAVE TO go to Sterling Vineyard - it was definitely one of the best with amazing scenery (You take a sky tram up to the winery itself) (and pay the extra $10 for the "VIP" tasting - definitely worth it).

We were going to stay here:
Avia
but decided to stay at this bed and breakfast since we wanted a more romantic feel and were staying at a hotel in SF:
The Inn on Frist
The Inn on First is about a 10 minute walk to downtown Napa. (Downtown is small but there are some great restaurants.) Avia is a bit closer to town.
