Disney tickets for toddlers...If they were 3 YO
Can you get away without getting a ticket for them and say they are like 2 1/2?
What if you have the dining plan, what did you do about meals if they didn't have tickets?

If a child is under 3, they're not a participant in the dining plan but do receive their resort stay and theme park tickets for free.
You can share your meals or you can purchase them a meal, and they also receive their own plate at buffets.

You will not be asked to provide proof because the cast members at the gate will just take your word for it.
However, whether it's right to lie to a cast member in front of your child, is a different matter.
I too will be going later this year with 3 yo DS and already got tickets. It actually didn't occurr to me to not get tickets because DS speaks in complete sentences and would no doubt answer his real age if a cast member asked!

I take it that there are probably people who do this - I won't get into right or wrong but do note cast members might very well ask your child how old they are in a very casual friendly way if the stike up a convo with your child. DD was under three (we went mid May she turned 3 June 20th) so we brought her BC just in case. I have had friends whose children were tall for their age and who said sometimes the CM would ask the child never the parent though but in those cases they under 3.
If you can go before they turn 3 theyget into thee parks for free, eat at buffets, and family style places for free or eat off your plate for free. If you get them their own meal at an a la carte or counter service place you do pay for them. Oh and if theey are under three you can't add them to thee dining plan. Our last trip both girls were under 3. They ate free at places like chef mickeys, akershus, ohanas, crystal palace and biergarten. We payed out of pocket for their cs and other ts meals.
