Growth Sonos?
When are those done? I'm entering into my 29th week, and I have never been told an estimate of how big they think the baby is... etc...

Re: Growth Sonos?
I was told that I would only get a growth sono if they felt there was a need for it - measuring big/small, etc.
I am having one tomorrow at 34 weeks because I am measuring small and have been having some contractions.

Re: Growth Sonos?
I had a growth sono at 24 weeks and baby measured okay. I'm having another sono at 29 weeks because I have a semi-low placenta. Otherwise I don't think I'd get anymore

Re: Growth Sonos?
My OB does not do them at all. My last sono was at 19 w for the whole pregnancy. Although I might ask if I can have another, it's not routine and they'll probably tell me no.

Re: Growth Sonos?
Many OBs do not do a growth sono if you are having a normal pregnancy.

Same here. I have a midwife she she won't do one unless I go past my due date. They have a huge margin for error (1-1.5 pounds!) so many practices don't bother.
