What should dh wear to...edited
a posh UES dinner party (a la RHONY)
It's for my friend, being thrown by my friends' friend.
Help a Queens girl out!
ETA: its at someone's home, not a restaurant. not sure if that changes the polling results

Look at the restaurant website to see if there are any photos of people or a suggested dress code there. I would ask the friend what her husband planned on wearing.

I say button down shirt, khakis, open collar.
ETA: Personally even, a nice pair of dark jeans, a button shirt, open collar.

I agree BUT if DH wore dark jeans and a button down to something like this I would maybe have him throw a jacket/blazer on top, too.
