Anyone ever be to The Hotel ML?

It's in NJ, about 10 miles from Philly and it has an indoor water park. There is a deal on Groupon today that I am considering but would love to hear any reviews from you ladies. TIA!

Re: Anyone ever be to The Hotel ML?

We did the last groupon they offered in March. I would not go back there.

There were roving groups of unsupervised children who were really roughhousing. It was understaffed. The life guards were trying their best to diffuse the situation to no avail. You can just purchase tickets and drop kids off. There was no supervision by parents. It was way too over crowded. They don't limit admission to just hotel guests so it was extremely crowded. We felt like sardines.

My other complaint for the park itself, was that there was a section clearly meant for small children age 5 and under. The staff did not limit much older children from the area. The older, unsupervised kids who looked to be 9-12 years old were tripping and pushing children ages 1-3. It was not "on purpose" but more being completely careless/rude. It felt unsafe. I brought it to the attention of the life guard who shrugged and said she could not prohibit guests from the area. I said I understood, but we left shortly afterwards.

Parts of the water park were closed off and the staff said they were not sure when/if they would reopen them.

The shining star of the hotel was the restaurant. If you do go, the ribs were outstanding. If it were closer, I would go back to eat at the restaurant. It took forever to get served, but the food was good.

The rooms were ok, but not great. They were in need of a renovation. The beds were clean. It felt dark in the room. I would have preferred better lighting in the room.

They have an arcade but it is much more expensive than I would have expected compared to other arcades in NJ.

Oh that is disappointing to read. I was contemplating buying the Groupon myself. The rooms look updated in the pictures, and old rooms skeeve me out!
