For those that do shellac
Just curious, how often does your shellac last.
I just got it done again after having it on for 3 weeks. There was only one nail that was chipped. Is this the average? I was so excited that it lasted that long!!

yes, 3 weeks! at that point, the regrowth is too much to handle for me

My nails grow fast so I have to redo it aroudn 3 weeks.
But no chips!

I tend to push the 3 week mark as well with mine.
The regrowth is a lot, so I usually go at the start of the the 3rd week.

I got it done for the first time about a week and a half ago. I have a lot of regrowth, two of my nails chipped and the fingertip edges of my nails lost the color in a matter of days.
Is this normal? I really don't want to spend the money to have this done if its not going to last.

It should last much better than that.
It may have been done wrong.
The regrowth you can't control.
I also broke a nail a few days in- I was reaching to unplug a power cord and hit it the wrong way- so of course the polish peeled off at the breaking point- again not the fault of the manicure.
It shouldn't be chiping or losing polish at the edges though.
