beachy theme living room

I'm thinking of doing a beachy theme in my living room but need some opinions first. We recently repainted and its a very light blueish/green color (looks beachy) so I thought it would be perfect. It wouldn't be over the top just a few beachy pictures and maybe some decor on end tables.

Do you like this idea for a living room or no? All opinions are welcome

If you like it then why not...throw in some creams and beige colors too and maybe come coral for some pop of color...I think it would be nice.

I think you can do it really easily. Target even has some nautical pillows out right now with ships stitched on them. I would go for subtle rather than obvious. So perhaps a circle mirror with a cable rope, throw pillows with boats, and the room in crisp blues and whites or creams. Also you could do a clear glass lamp with a bunch of sand or shells in the base or rope around the glass. (I would not do both at the same time).

I like it..... It's definitely a less formal, traditional look, but I know some people don't want a very "formal" living room space.

I think you could go for more of a beach cottage vibe (with whites, creams, sand color, pale blue... love the idea of clear glass lamps filled with shells) versus an overt nautical theme. I don't know how much you plan to change in the room, but I like the look of distressed, weathered furniture with a beachy room (like an accent table in white or a light painted wood tone with a distressed finish). And if you were going all out, a jute area rug would fit the theme, I think.

Check out Coastal Living magazine or website... I think you'd get some good inspiration from there.

I have just switched over our master bed and bath to a loose beach theme. I don't care for the kitchy theme stuff as much as textures, colors and one or two things that have a shell or coral on it.
I'm currently obsessed with the houzz website/app
If you go on there, go to the photos section, then search beach living room, seaside living room, nautical living room you will get amazing inspriration!

If I can ever decide exactly where I'm hanging some of my new art, I will post pictures of my rooms
