What can I make with hot dogs and hamburgers
For DD's bday party in August? Usually we have it catered but I have noticed that most people do something simpler, like pizza, etc.
So I want to do burgers and dogs but want to make some side dishes. What should I make?

Macaroni Salad
Cole Slaw
Cucumber Salad
Tossed Salad
I found this recipe on WW, thought I might try it this weekend.
Nectarine and Scallion Relish
(Sweet and juicy! Serve with chips and veggies or spoon some over your favorite baked or grilled protein)
3 medium nectarine(s), finely diced
1/4 cup(s) uncooked scallion(s), finely sliced
1/8 tsp packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Instructions
Toss together all ingredients in a medium non-metallic bowl; allow to stand for at least 10 minutes, but 2 hours is best. Yields about 1/4 cup per serving.
Notes
Add chopped jalapeno or other hot pepper if you like.

Here are some good options for hot dogs and hamburgers:
-Mini-Bags of Chips (a variety of different kinds)
-Fruit Salad
-Corn on the Cob
-Macaroni Salad (with mayo)
-Pasta Salad (without mayo) I like to make mine with a ton of vegetable and italian dressing
-Coleslaw (regular coleslaw or pineapple coleslaw or asian coleslaw or blue cheese coleslaw, etc.)
-Potato Salad
-Caprese Salad (mozz, tomato, basil, balsamic vinaigrette)
-Tossed Garden Salad
-Bean Salad
-French Fries
-Onion Rings
Also: plate of pickles, side of cheese

We just had my DD's party last weekend. We had hot dogs and hamburgers, and also served corn on the cob, macaroni salad, potato salad, coleslaw, tossed green salad, potato chips and fresh fruit (watermelon, pineapple, etc.).

Non mayo pasta salad, plain salad with maybe cucumbers and tomatoes and lettuce, beans, chips, fruit salad. While it is nice to have potato salad, coleslaw etc I would be concerned with food poisoning in the heat of August, whenever I have gone to a BBQ I avoid those as well as most people I know. I would stick with things that can easily be put out on a table for people to help themselves without worrying if they will spoil if it is really hot.
