Expired Soda
I maintain that when soda is expired the taste is different...it tastes more "seltzery" to me (especially if it's diet). DH says that it tastes the same and that when we were young soda never had an expiration date.
Can anyone settle the debate??

We once opened a soda at my grandmas and everyone was saying it tasted funny. Finally my uncle looked at the date and said it was expired. I don't recall how expired it was. But it tasted more than off. Just didn't taste the way it should. i think it was a coke or pepsi.

Dh and I agree with you. It definitely tastes like seltzer after its expired!

Yes, the taste definitely changes. I think soda (at least diet, since that's all I drink) tastes metallic when it's expired and in a can.

Depends on how long ago it expired. If the date is close, it usually tastes fine. If it is well after the date, it tastes awful.

FH works for a soda company, it does go "bad" (tastes different). He won't drink it when it expires.
