Sandals Grande Riviera (Ocho Rios) or Sandals Royal Carribbean

Which did you like better? I want to book this weekend. Was leaning toward Royal Carribbean.

That's a tough one.

RC has the private island which looks amazing

but GR has the newly updated Riviera Villas.

For me, choosing a resort has always come down to which one has the resort category i like available for the best price.

I would probably go with Grande Riviera. I really loved the secluded feeling of the Sunset Bluff at Sandals La Toc and this is the same thing. We didn't want to be near all of the noise and activities. We wanted a slower pace and great service.

I hated Sandals Royal Carribean--maybe I expected more but I would recommend the other place regardless because we had such a bad time at RC.

I can tell you more if you'd like. We found activities horrible, the room wasn't well kept, and the food was horrible. I actually lost weight at an all-inclusive vacation!

Not sure if you are interested but we went to Couples Swept Away a few years ago and it was amazing. Food, activites, everything was SOO much better than Sandals RC.

Oh, the private island was nothing. Yes, I got to lay out naked there but the food over there was worth than on the mainland. It was boring, don't pick this for the private island.
