Baby Shower Invite Enclosures . . . thoughts?
I made these myself through Vista Print

My friend printed a similar poem on a small piece of paper and just cut it out with a scalloped-edged scissor. It still got the point across (if you're looking for a less fancy way to do it).
Her poem says:
Cards are nice
They're read once or twice
A book is a treasure
Forever and forever
So instead of a card
To put aside
Please give the baby
A little book with your name inside.

This is such a cute idea! I think those inserts are perfect. I definitely want to do this when it comes time for my shower.. what a great way to build a library for your LO!

Please bring a book instead of a card
Whether cat in the hat or Winnie the pooh
You Can sign the book with a note from you!
Baby "name" will become so smart indeed
If we start early she will soon learn to read!
Only thing is I am catching flack from people saying I am going to get multiples of the same books, because most people opt for the classics and then I won't be able to return them because they all have notes in them... I dunno maybe they r right.. But its too late now lol. I still think its an adorable idea!!

Thanks, yes I thought of this too, so I started to add some books to my registry. Obviously not enough to cover all of my guests, but some of the more classic ones in hopes that people will see they are bought.

it's ok if you have duplicates of the same book ... they'll probably eventually get very worn out if you read them enough. at that point, you can always use the duplicate.
also, people will probably bring less famous books since they would probably want to prevent this.
