Stupid parent comment of the day....
I work at a school...a Dad was coming in to volunteer at an event so I said "It's great to have a Dad come in...so far it's been all Moms".
He said, "well what else is there in life...we live for our children"
I had to bite my tongue...I turned to my coworker who knows I am CF and will be that way and said "well I guess I have no reason to live now!" 
I think it's great that parents care for their children enough to make time, but I always think back to what my brother's pastor who married him said, "Many people put their children first in a marriage. They should come second, because the reason you got together in the first place was for each other. If you don't take care of your relationship other things including your children suffer"

Definitely the stupid comment winner of the day.
What else is there? Well i'm for early retirement and FUN.
I like the pastor's advice very much.

Our priest at pre-cana gave the same exact advice. Your spouse should come first and you should never let something or someone come between you, including your own children.
What is that guy going to do when his kids are all grown up and become independent? Hopefully he has a hobby or some other interest in life.
