Appointment Pushed Back a week work conflict...

So my OBGYN just had a baby! I had no idea she was even pregnant (saw her last in August). So the office is rescheduling all her appointments. Now I have to wait until 6/4 instead of 5/30. Luckily it's only a few days and hopefully the extra days mean we can see more on the sonogram. But waiting until 5/30 was torture enough b/c I wanted to wait until the 1st appointment to tell our families!!

But it's stressing me out b/c the appointment is on the 2nd business day of the month at 6:30pm...I work in accounting so that's our busiest time. I can stay at work until 7:30/8 easily on that day. Now I'll have to come up with an excuse as to why I need to leave by 5 on my busiest day!!

If i didn't pick the 4th I'd have to wait until the 12th!! Because all other appointments were mid day and my dr office is in Long Island and I work in the city! UGH

Who is your ob, Dr. Glasser-Caine? I see her, and she gave birth last week. I had a sono at Madonna instead of seeing her this past week, and don't get to see her again until the 18th, which is the day she comes back. I'll be 36 weeks. I basically missed my 34 week appointment with her, so she had me go for the sono instead so that I would be "seen" by someone.

I know it's just a few days for you, but I understand why you're frustrated. Good luck!

I go to Dr. Bell in New Hyde park. it's my 1st prenatal appointment so they said it was hard to reschedule in the evenings when I want to come in (after work).

That's funny that they both just had babies! I have that problem with my doctor also. Very hard to get appointments after work (and I can be there as early as 4 pm!). I love her, but I can tell that I'm going to be taking off a lot during my last few weeks of pregnancy, and I really need the time for when I go on leave!

The receptionist told me my appointments later on won't be that hard to schedule; but I guess for this 1st one they need a longer appointment!
