East Rockaway address but Lynbrook schools?
We're currently negotiating on a house in East Rockaway but in Lynbrook SD, which is what we want. It is right between Marion Elementary and Waverly Park and I'm trying to figure out which school it would be zoned for. Does anyone either know the boundaries for these schools or know how to find out? Our realtor said she *thinks* it's WP but isn't sure. Thanks!

The school lines for elementary schools change all the time and the districts don't really publish the maps. And be careful, because sometimes the closest school geographically isn't the one the house is assigned to.
When I want to find out for sure what schools would apply for a certain address, I just call the school district. If there's a transportation department, that's usually the best source of info. You can go on the Lynbrook SD website to get the phone numbers for the various departments, or just call the main number for the district, and they can direct your call.

I'd definitely call the school district. That area definitely varies. I went to MS growing up but my parents now live over by Waverly.

My stepdaughter is a HS senior and has been in lynbrook since kindergarten. Something weird goes on with the elementary school lines because she as friends that live on the same block and they went to different elementary schools. She also has a friend that lives very close to her in lynbrook north that went to Marion street instead of west end. I don't live in that district so I never asked for the details.
