Ours is in the back of the house. . . I can't think of a house that has the kitchen in the front. . . . . . . . . I'm trying to picture it. At my parents house their kitchen is in the middle.
My parents had a split. The kitchen was in the front.. the whole development had kitchens in the front. But the side door was in the kitchen and it opened to the side yard which worked out because the side yard was my mom's oasis - she had the bbq, her herb garden, flowers and such all right off the kitchen. It worked really well when we were growing up and now it is my sisters' home and they are used to it so it doesn't bother them at all. I guess it depends on how the house is set up.

You know I never really paid attention to it when I bought the house because my Kitchen was brand new and I was just admiring that lol, until someone mentioned how they like that my kitchen is in the front and never seen a house that way...I really don't care, I like how it is now.
