trying to pick paint colors...
and having such a tough time! I still can't decide on a blue for my DS's room and trying to decide on a color for the master bedroom (we are using benjamin moore paint).
Thinking of BM Lenox tan, so any bedroom pictures with that would be appreciated. I would even consider a slightly darker taupe/beige, so any other color suggestions are also welcomed. I have to decide soon b/c we are starting the painting on saturday. Thanks!

Re: trying to pick paint colors...
Picking colors is fun! We just bought our house and we are painting every room - here is the list of my colors, we are really happy with all of them.
My Bedroom is BM Hot Spring Stones - it's not to dark, it's a really nice neutral taupe/tan color. We are very happy with it.
My master bath is BM Smoke - I have that paint, but it is not on the walls yet - it's a nice blue color.
Diningroom is BM Beach glass - I love this color, it's a really nice blue/green color - looks we better on the walls then the chip.
Den/living room is BM Shabby chic

I was considering Lenox Tan but I used Alexandria Beige in 2 rooms and love it. (its darker than Lenox Tan and I think dark colors look great in most rooms!) I also used Quincy Tan and I get many compliments on it. Its similar to Lenox Tan but not as gold!

Re: trying to pick paint colors...
What i do is pick up the swatches I like and tape them to the wall. I need to view them in all shades of sunlight. Something that looks great in full sun, may look too blah on a cloudy day.
As i disregard a shade, i pull the sample off the wall. What is left when I'm done is what I pick.
Also, you can go to BM's website or any other brand, upload a pic of the room in question and fill in the walls with the paint you are thinking of using. This way you can see it "real" and you can play with it, making it darker or lighter based on how you feel.
