Re: has anyone bought silestone lately?
I work in construction, so I can help you out.
What color in particular are you interested in? They vary based on tier/color. I have some good contacts b/c i used it a lot in the last few years, but lately, i'm finding granite has been cheaper and am using that instead.
Let me know the color and I will ask my wholesaler what the cost would be. Also, tell me how much you would need. I can get you a quote and then put you in contact with him if you are interested.

it is stellar snow. and i just want the regular, rectangular (rounded) edge.
it's a U shape, about 4ftx15ftx12ftx10ft.
thanks again. where is this wholesaler located?

Re: has anyone bought silestone lately?
No help in pricing since we had our installed about 7 years ago. But just wanted to say we have stellar snow on our island and stellar night in the rest of the kitchen - LOVE IT!!!
Requires absolutely no maintenance and you can do ANYTHING on it (cut without scratching, place hot pots without scorching, etc). So happy we went with Silestone versus granite!!

I really can't remember what we paid, I know we did it through Home Depot and I think it was per square foot. I can ask DH when he gets home from work in a bit. He is usually good about remembering where our money goes

My MIL has it and loves it. Hers did chip though and they came to repair it. Essentially they used something like clear nail polish to fill the hole then a black permanent marker to cover it.
