It's Official

Had my beta and got a BFN ! Those were my last 2 embryos I have a follow up consult next Wednesday to discuss the next steps. I am still going back in forth with possibly switching RE's. Anyone goes to Reproductive Specialists in Mineola?? If so are you satisfied with them? I am currently seeing the doctors at North Shore and even though they are really nice I've had 4 failed IVF transfers.

I think you need to do what you think is best in terms of your RE. If you think you can get better care elsewhere, I would definitely seek a second opinion. It is important for you to be your own advocate.

Dr. Saketos at RSofNY Mineola is my RE and I have been VERY happy with her!

I go to RSofNY in Mineola. I've only had one cycle with them, which was a natural cycle IUI that failed. The techs and nurses are really nice, but I don't see my doctor that often. I find I really have to advocate and ask questions to get answers.

IMO, it's very "baby factory" to me.

I use RS of NY in Mineola and LOVE them! Actually, I have referred about 7 people to them and they are all very happy with them too!... I have been using there office for a little over 3 years. Dr. Saketos is AMAZING (she is who I have been seeing) and so is SanRoman....Trevax is like Doogie Howser and we get along so well and Sung (super smart but cold) --Im not a fan of...The Nurses are so loving, really easy to talk to and really get to know their patients...

IMO they are extrememly informative and I personally challenge them with questions and new technologies as well as the studies they preform in the labs and their success rates with said studies...

SanRoman started the practice over 25 years ago and has great reviews especially from high rish OB/GYN and Perinatal Dr.s I have seen...i cant agree more with them actually.

I love rsony. The doctors are all great. It can't hurt to go for a consult and see what they would recommend for you as far as testing and protocol. I personally would try a new RE if I were you. I was also talking to dr sakatos at rsony during the ivf process and she said that their embryologists and lab is among the best in the world. She said they are really excellent. This made me feel good . Yes, they are a big practice and can sometimes seem like a baby factory but pretty much all the doctors never fail to impress me with their knowledge. I have been thtrough a lot with them and liked their judgment calls and decisions through it all.

I go to RS of NY and I am happy. I agree with a previous poster in that it is very "baby-factory" but if they get the job done, I guess i don't mind.

My first DD is a PGD/IVF from the Mineola office with Dr. Stelling. I will say I NEVER see him, and for that matter I RARELY see a dr. With all that said, I have been through many cycles there and it doesn't bother me.

I have a friend who is an embryologist there and trust her to the fullest!

The staff is fantastic and very caring, but if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I was a patient of RSONY in Stony Brook but had both my IVF and FET at the Mineola location, which got me my DD and DS #2...Dr.Sung did both and I really liked her..

ETA: I forget where I heard (maybe there at RSOFNY) but I was told that many RE's who do not have their own embryology departments use RSONYs
