Virgin Waxer Here!
So I'm doing it. Gonig for a waxing.
Talk me through it. Am I going to have to stretch beforehand? How sore will I be?
While you're reading this - has anyone been to the European Waxing Center in Plainview (or any of the other locations for that matter?)

I've been a European Wax Center...it was terrible at all. I made sure I was fresh from the shower and popped two motrin a half hour before I went. It stung a little but was nearly as painful as I thought, just slightly awkward. If it's your first time wear a longer shirt because they just tell you to take your pants off and get right down to business lol

Re: Virgin Waxer Here!
definitely take 2 motrins before you go. but you'll be fine! try to count to 3 before each pull. seemed to help me at first. now it's nothing. good luck!

Thanks girls!
So, REALLY talk me through it. I need to be prepared. Do you just walk in and drop your bottoms? Am I going to be mortified?

Re: Virgin Waxer Here!
I went to European Wax Center in Merrick on Friday and I was a first timer too! I thought they were wonderful and nowhere near as painful as I thought.
Do pop 2 Motrin or Advil before going. They are pretty no nonsense so you get in and they tell you to undress from the bottom down, so wear a longer shirt because I felt like it made it less embarrassing (if that's even possible). I washed beforehand - again, to minimize my total embarrassment. Otherwise, they talk you through the whole thing and it wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought. It was quick and the person doing it was really nice and helpful and I would go back again.

You know, I'm not even sure. A good friend is dragging me with her and she took care of the appointments and stuff. I don't even care how much it is.

It's 50% your first wax, but after that a brazilian is normally $41 and they have a club where if you wax regularly discounts.

Re: Virgin Waxer Here!
After you get waxed i was told to use witch hazel after the second day and also to exfoliate the area so you dont get in grown hairs (I went to Bliss Spa)

Re: Virgin Waxer Here!
I like the European wax center as well. The more you go u get used to it the less painful it is. They do not use strips there, the just use wax and after they apply it hardens and rip!
