This is the first spring that we've been in our house for so we're still learning what plants/flowers we have all around the property. I have some hosta that has started to come up and they look like they'll be a decent size if I kept them together. However there are other spots that I would lie to have them in too. Can I seperate them now and still have them grow the whole season? If not when should I do it?

I usually seperate them this time of year, but I have also seperated them later when they are in full bloom and taking over a space. They grow like weeds around here. I have actually pulled them and haphazardly thrown them in a bucket with a little soil and they have done beautifully.
