IUI and teeth cleaning + fix a cavity

Hi all, not sure if anyone has my luck of doing both of these things at once, but I am in a position where I have a dental appt. to fix a filling that fell out on Thursday. I thought i still had another week before my next IUI, but most likely it will be Wednesday or Thursday.

On the very off chance that it worked, is it ok for me to have this dental work done? He will prob. need to take xrays and most def. needs to give me novacaine for the filling. Obviously I will be in the 2WW, so I wont know for sure if it matters at all, but regardless, i need to get this tooth fixed.

What do you think? I will ask my RE as well, but did not know if anyone had experience with this and what their docs said?

I actually have a dentist appt this week and am in the 2ww after an IUI so I asked my RE today if I could have an x-ray at the dentist. He actually said that it's up to the dentist, not the RE to make that decision. Basically, the RE said it was ok but some dentists won't want to risk it.

You should call your dentist and explain you're in the 2ww for an IUI and let him make the decision. Maybe he can move the appt sooner.

can they do the work without taking a x ray?

My dentist won't do X-rays during 2ww under any circumstances. He will do teeth cleaning but I'm not sure about cavities good luck

thanks, I guess I will just wait and see. I do not want to do xray at all..maybe just wait it out...
