Short sale
How do you go about finding a short sale? I see a lot of short sale purchase posts

A real estate agent can pull them for you (we can search for them on the realtor version of MLS).
Also, if you are on Listingbook, it's part of the home finder critera, so you can weed them out or include them or make them a "must have" criterion for your search.
If you are considering short sales, I would recommend carefully selecting both a knowledgeable real estate agent and a knowledgeable attorney to guide you through the process, as it is a more complex transaction than a standard sale (although it's always a good idea to have good professionals on your side in any real estate transaction).
