Blinds

We have casement (?) windows and the blinds that we have are the ones that were on the windows from the previous owners.

They are the vinyl shades that roll up and down. They are broken and ripped and in general just really bad shape.

Need to replace them but I have no idea what kind of shades you put on these windows.

Ideas?

TIA!

Re: Blinds

I have casements all over my house. In our bow window, we have pleated shades - one over each individual window. They raise from the bottom, like normal, or can be lowered from the top. In our den, which has a triple casement, we have horizontal wood blinds - again, one over each individual window pane. In our bedroom, we have two window openings, both double casements. We have a combo cellular/pleated shade over each opening (It's a sheer pleated shade on the top for during the day, and then you pull up the darker cellular shade for night). Finally, we just ordered a cordless cellular shade for the double casement in the nursery. I think you can really do anything. Growing up, my parents had a lot of verticals, but I'm not a fan of them.

I'm not really a fan of verticals either.

I need blinds all over the house, but my main priority is in DDs room and the office.

They are 2 windows side by side so I didn't know if I should put 2 separate shades or 1 big one of the both.

Ya know?
