Is it possible for a family to vacation under $3k?
We were trying to plan a little vacation, that includes the beach, but everything seems so out of our reach (we have Disney in Sept).
I live in NC, & Even OBX/SC beach rentals, when you factor in rental, driving & food & activities will be more than that!
It would be for the end of July. (4yo & 20mo).
Open to ANYWHERE!!!!

St. Pete Beach Florida. Look for a review under my user name. We were able to do it for about 1500.

Check cheapcaribbean.com the deals on that site are amazing. you'd be surprised how affordable vacations can be on that site.

Really?! Maybe I need to look more! If it's needing airfare, we only need 3 tickets, cause my youngest isn't 2 yet.
We couldn't get a passport appointment until next Thursday.....so I hope that won't limit us if we want to travel by august though!

I threw a quick search into Cheap Caribbean from Ashville, NC to Punta Cana. I did Friday-Friday the first week in August and the total came out to $3100 with airfare at an all inclusive. You can tweak the islands around, length of time and days of the week but it's definitely possible.

passports come pretty quick now- i rushed mine in sept and it came in a week
at this time you should not even need to rush it

LOL I just picked the first airport I saw in NC!! Yes I used cheapcaribbean, no one is ever cheaper than them!!!!!

I need to keep looking...cause Greensboro to Punta Cana (which I never been) is coming up closer to $4.....unless I choose the lowest level resort.

Try playing around with the days of the week (if you're flexible). That usually helps. For the vacation we're going on this month leaving on Sunday verses Saturday saved us over $500

That's what I'm trying to do. I am not familiar with many locations, so I'm not sure what resorts to even look at. We do have some limited travel flexibility...the hubby is off 8 days total.

That's what I'm trying to do. I am not familiar with many locations, so I'm not sure what resorts to even look at. We do have some limited travel flexibility...the hubby is off 8 days total.
I usually check out Trip Advisor for reviews of places and I always check their facebook pages for fan photos because I feel like that gives a more accurate portrayal of what a place actually looks like
