Stained wood bannister on stairs
I have a light wood on my staircase. What color is your banister stairs? I was thinking of having mine stained. Also, who do you call in to do this job? Would this be a painter?

My banisters are also light but just had my floors done darker.
We are staining them ourselves. We did one and just have to do the other.
I "think" a floor company can do it. I just wasn't into paying someone to do something we can do ourselves.

Our banister is oak and we just put the glossy coat over it. Our floors are darker. When our contractor replaced the banister, he had painted on the varnish.
