Dr.Kofinas girls
sorry if this is dumb lol
DR>b said after i leave him at 12 weeks  i will be seeing both Dr.Kofinas and a ob
the ob he gave me was DR.Goldstein which i knew of bc a former liw girl and one of my close friends used him and loved him!
so my question is is this the Kofinas in garden city? how often do you typically see him and what does he do..like sonos and blood?

For me, Kofinas it like THE dr. He does everything except deliver the babies. I go to him every other week. He did bloodwork, regular and thrombo. He is doing my NT scan and will tell us the sex of the babies. Then I also go to my high risk OB every 3 weeks. So I have a sono once a week for 3 weeks then one week off.

ITA. Kofinas is really in charge of your care, he sends all visits and paperwork to OB though so they are in the loop. He does frequent bloodwork throughout your pregnancy. I see both bi monthly so I never have a week off. Still impt to maintain a relationship with your OB because they'll be with you the day of.

dr k's office is truly the best ever. its very overwhelming at first and he isnt the warmest at first bc he is all business...but in a wierd way you will be glad you have to see a peri bc the ultrasounds are amazing and no stone is left unturned for your babies care!

Yes, that's the garden city Kofinas.
I saw him when I was pregnant with my DS. He truly does do everything but deliver the baby(ies). I seen him every 2 weeks unless an issue would arise, then I'd see him weekly. His office does blood and sonos, including NT scan and level II sono. Thankfully he pretty much calls all the shots as I had an unimpressive OB (I'm sure most know who I'm referring to  )
You and your babies will be in great hands - he's fantastic!

im not sure if goldstein and kofinas work together. im a goldstein patient now but im not sure if ill stay with him for another baby. he's a very nice guy and very laid back, sort of dr. B-ish. but i find him a little "typical" of an ob/gyn. he also did not deliver my baby. i was in the hospital a total of 10 days and i only saw him the first day i was there, and he discharged me the last day. he was no where to be found the days in the middle and i dealt with a different doctor every 12 hours or so in the hospital (although so repeated over the time i was there). when i called him the day they decided to deliver me, the on-call dr. called me back. he is the only delivering OB in his practice so he uses an on-call group with a bunch of local doctors. a majority of people i know that used him did not get delivered by him although the ones that did said they had good experiences.

I go to Dr. K and actually just started there. I see him every 2 weeks and get a sono each time. Its a realy detailed sono too, which is nice!

@flowerwife...that is exactly what Dr.B told me...he said he is a great guy but the only complaint he gets it he might not be the one actually delivering you.
i thik bc he is the closeest to queens he was a good fit,most of the ob's he knew were in suffolk
