Design question for you...
We have hardwood floors throughout the entire house. In order to make the master bedroom cozier, I wanted to add an area rug. Problem is I have no idea what size to get or where to put it. The room is an okay size (15x16) and we have a king bed centered on one of the 16' walls. I wanted it near the bed but one that goes under the bed would be huge (and cost a lot of $$$). Then I thought one runner for each side of the bed and thought that would look strange. Maybe a smaller area rug near the foot of the bed - under the feet at the foot and extending out towards the room? I'm stumped - can anyone help? TIA.

This was what I pictured when I was reading your post. But I would lay the rug left to right and not top to bottom. If that makes sense.
