i did - but this was 8 years ago.
booked a trip for 2 to nashville. got a hotel that offered a shuttle service from airport and to local destinations. also booked some events through SW, since they offered the best prices. no complaints! i was very happy overall and it was a great trip

Thank you very much

Three friends are thinking of going to Orlando and they seem to have some good packages (air and hotel on-site).

You have to price them out and see. As I understand it - it depends on the location, etc. I understand sometimes they are good deals and sometimes you pay more than if you booked it yourself separately. I have read they charge a lot more for say WDW than if you do it yourself but if you are going to another city you might get a good deal. I would price everything out separately with any other discounts you can get (AAA, costco or BJs etc) and then see if you can do better.

I Have used them for disney vacations. I Tried pricing both ways, and it just about comes out the same, but it worked fine for us, and everything was done on 1 website.

Re: Southwest Airlines Vacations

I have primarily looked at the airline deals for Disney. It really doesn't come out any cheaper and I've seen some packages where you lose benefits. For example, one Jetblue package didn't let you use Magical Express for some reason. Another downside is that unlike booking with a TA, you're generally locked into that deal. If something better comes out, or if you get a PIN code in the mail, you're generally stuck. If you want ease, I'd suggest having a TA book it all for you in one shot because then you can still make changes PLUS they will help you with itinerary planning and make reservations for you, which I don't believe these sites, airlines, orbitz, etc do not do, so you effectively lose control of your own reservation but don't get anything for it.

Just my two cents.

ETA: I don't see any onsite deals at either Jetblue.com or Southwest.com

Southwest.com has a air/hotel package where you stay at the on-site Music hotel..

We're looking for a package for 3 adults (preferable 1 or 2 rooms) that is very reasonably priced...

I'm getting the feeling that "reasonably priced" isn't out there.

Re: Southwest Airlines Vacations

Well, right now there is Free Dining for August and September so that should help!

ETA: I saw the Southwest deal you were talking about. It's the same Free Dining offered through Disney. The difference in price is misleading. It does NOT include tickets, but it does tell you that you must buy tickets to get that deal.

Basically the same as booking it yourself or with a TA, but without any services

Re: Southwest Airlines Vacations

I have used them 2x for Disney. I am a research-a-holic when booking a vacation. And both times we got a good deal, better that I could find elsewhere. However other times I have looked up vacations thru hem and the priced out more, so you just have to look around.

I always recommend my friends check them out as we had great trips using them.

Any specific questions?
