coxsociie question
I know I am being paranoid but Sammy has a BAD cold and a low grade fever -it is only 100.2 is this the start of coxsocie? He is 4 years old so he can tell me what hurts. He said his nose hurts because it is stuffed.
I am trying to keep Sara away form him but it is not easy

Re: coxsociie question
I would say that for Coxsackie the fever would have to be much higher then that. However Emily never developed any visible sores (in her throat but not in her mouth where I could see it) so definately keep an eye on him.
With her she ran a low fever first and then within hours it was SUPER high so keep checking it.
If it does come, hope it doesn't, then keep taking his temp and if it goes super high the doc told us to do tylenol, retest in 30 minutes, and if it was still high follow with motrin and that I could alternate giving them every 4-6 hours (4 for the tylenol, 6 for the motrin).
I hope he doesn't get it. It sux!
Hugs to Sam!!

Re: coxsociie question
It could be coxsackie but I'd say it's unlikely. They're not supposed to get coxsackie when they're older.
