how much does it cost to fix a dented/damaged wall?
Just was wondering....Today we had an AC tune up done on our house. DH called me at work and apparently the tech guy dented one of our walls (he was large, trying to get out of our crawlspace into the attic, and I guess damaged the wall). He offered either for us to have the AC tune up for free (which was around $90) or they could pay for the damages. Just was wondering how much it would actually cost to repair the wall to see what would be more cost beneficial.

If it was me, in my house, I would take the free AC repair, since it would be essentially free for me to fix my own wall. I have all the materials and experience already.
To have a professional come in would take a while. They would need to repair the dent, then wait for the spackle to dry, then do a 2nd coat, wait for it to dry, sand it smooth, prime the patch, wait for it to dry, then two coats of paint (do you have matching paint already? )
It's a very simple repair, but it will take more than one day to finish. I don't have any idea what it would cost, though.

Thanks, that helps. My father was there at the time and took the free AC service but I wasn't sure if it was the wrong decision. My uncle knows how to spackle so i'm crossing my fingers!

Same thing happened to us...DH was in our crawl space attic putting things away and he damaged part of the ceiling. We hired a guy to patch it up and repaint it and it cost $100.
