q for those that have anterior placenta

I'm 22 weeks and still waiting to feel some real, concrete, movement. I feel the occasional flutter (or at least I think I do) and thats it. How far along were you when you started to actually feel your baby move? At what point should I bring it up to my doc?

Thanks, I was supposed to see the doc tomorrow but turns out he is at a conference until next week so I had to reschedule for next week... I hope everything is normal!

I'm 26w and still don't feel very hard movement. There are def diff points during the day that I feel more movement. Usually at night sitting on the couch or in the bed.

Re: q for those that have anterior placenta

When I went for my 20 wk sono, I was told I had an anterior placenta. The dr said if i didnt feel anything in 2 wks to call. So at 22 wks, I called b/c I didnt feel a thing. They brought me in and were shocked that I didnt feel anything since my babes was bee-boppin around like crazy. Then at like 23 wks 3 days, I started to feel what I would consider a "jab" and since them it has become more consistent. I am 25 wks 5 days and its still just the jabs. I am waiting for a a really big kick. Chat Icon

Re: q for those that have anterior placenta

I have an anterior placenta too and I know at my 20w (when I found out it was anterior) I was bummed that I wasn't feeling anything and within the next 2 weeks I started feeling definite random movements in the mornings and I swear overnight it was like all the time!

I'm sure in the next week or so you will feel such an increase in movement!!

Re: q for those that have anterior placenta

The first time I felt definite movement was right before 24 weeks, and then it was inconsistent until about 26 weeks. Even after that, I had a day or two where I would feel little.

I remember feeling movement at 22 weeks, but real big movements not until around 25 or 26 weeks. I can't remember exactly, but yeah it took a while Chat Icon

Re: q for those that have anterior placenta

I was about 23 weeks when I felt the first flutter - I don't think until 25 until i felt good kicks. But once they started, they didnt stop! I remember people saying youre going to regret it when you actually do feel it because you're not going to be able to sleep, but I'm 33 weeks now and still love it! It actually soothes me and helps me sleep :)
