How to tell... Spit up vs Throw up
At this young age almost 5 months) it is so hard for me to tell which is what... DD is exclusively breast feed and her "spit up" varies from day to day... Sometimes it's none and other days it can be what looks like a tablespoon or 2 of curd - oatmeal consistency an hour or so after eating... How would I know the difference?

Re: How to tell... Spit up vs Throw up
This happened to me on Monday. The throw up didn't look like it had been digested. It looked like it came from the bottle. It was not projectile however.

Re: How to tell... Spit up vs Throw up
To me it was always
Spit was a little bit that you might find dribbled down their chin or on the collars of their clothes.May or may not come out with a noise.
Throw up-- way different smell and usually comes gushing out with a whole different noise.
I don't know if that helps.
