Town Fences
We have a "town fence" in our backyard (in fact, that runs the length of my street). Its a chainlink fence that is old and disguisting. Can I just remove it? I called the town and got no-where.

I doubt you can remove it. If it's town property then technically removing it can be considered a crime. Maybe plant tall bushes in front of it to block it?
