Is it weird for dr to change a cs date

I got a call from my hosp. telling me that the scheduled date for my cs - early next week - has been pushed back because of 2 other "severe complication" cs that bumped me out of my slot. I was moved to late in the week. I thought it was odd - bc if they are severe then why don't they do them now?

Late last week - I got spooked and went "rogue" on my regular dr. and asked to have my records sent to another practice to discuss my options about having a vbac because I didn't like the dr. who was assigned to do my cs. Then, oddly I got the call that i'm scheduled with a team that I do trust and would have picked.

Could they have arranged this so I go with their practice?

I know its very weird to do this so late in the game - but as my date got closer - I got very nervous about an elective cs. i didn't expect to be this jumpy.

My third c/s was pushed back 4 days due to a conflict. But if you are happy with the doctor that's now performing the surgery, why question it?

I work for anesthesia and no that is not weird, I have seen this many times. If you have any questions you can fm me.
