You'll probably need both. For trim, usually a brush because of the crevices and cutting. For the doors, you will need the brush for the cutting especially if they are paneled. Use the roller in the larger areas of the doors.

Depends on the doors. For my interior doors, I prefer a brush. The doors are fake wood, with the fake wood texture on them, so the brush works nicely with the "grain" of the "wood", as long as you brush with the grain.
