Has anyone looked into Wells Fargo Refinance and Renovation Program?
Has anyone lokoed into this? We are underwater with our house but we want to build up. This program supposedly lets you do just that.....
Has anyone applied or is currently doing it?

I looked into it. It is a great program - your contractor must be approved by WF (which is a good thing) and they will get an "as completed" appraisal and lend off that.
I spoke to someone at WF who was really helpful but can't remember her name. I'll try to find it.
(We are holding off our extension another year or so, thats why we didn't go forward).

We spoke to Dawn Camerlango there. Seh was very helpful although we did decide to put the renovations off for now.

We are looking into this as well. Just got the basic info, and it sounds like a good plan. Not sure about rates yet. We are still deciding if we should move, or build on. Such a tough decision!

we def want to build up but our house is underwater in value. we r def staying here for the rest of our lives so it is a matter of the rate we get and how much our mortgage is going to go up....we were going to go up in 5 years but i feel like this program is great and by the time we r ready to build and saved up some more money the program will be gone!!!
we bought our house 5 years ago on a program that had no down payment.....and i know that program is longggg gone and we lucked out on that one with our situation 5 years ago....
i just dont want the program to disappear and it looks like WF is the only one who has it

it's sounds like a more user friendly name for an FHA 203K loan
which can also be done as a refi- most banks just aren't marketing it that way
it's a great marketing idea

its for people who don't have any equity.
you get your plans done and when they do the appraisal, they give you an apprasied value of what your house will be when it is completed and lend off that figure. A home equity will be for the value of your home now.

when i was looking to buy last year, i looked into this loan.
the interest rates were higher than other banks bc of the type of loan it was. we decided against using it.

im stlll researching i called the main wf number and they had no idea of the program! DH is an architect he is drafting a ton of plans and options so we can see what the cost of the project will be..then we are going to go back to WF
the guy i spoke to at the main line (out of state) wanted me to take the plans to a real estate agent to tell us the resale value of the new construction and wants us to provide a radius map of sales in a radius of our house that will be similar to our new house to see what they sell for...but again this guy had no idea what i was talking about so im going to call a local branch....everything is so different and $$ in NYS lol
