anyone ever have a mysterious odor?
so in my bedroom there is a mysterious odor. and whats even more mysterious is it only happens maybe once a week or so and then poof gone!!!!
you walk in the bedroom and think great my hubby just pooped/farted bc we have a master bath in there too....but after grilling one another there is no one to blame.
so we run around looking everywhere for a dead mouse or something that could explain the stench!!! like death/mold/egg fart.
then mysteriously.....its gone and doesnt return until some random day the next week.
wtf? please tell me i am not the only one with a ghost farting in my house!!!

Maybe the bathroom sink is not vented correctly and your smelling the waste pipe gases? Just a guess.

Good one.
In my old apartment my bathroom sink was smelly and only sometimes!
I found it by actually walking around sniff things and it lead me eight to the sink.
I poured bleach down there and also googled different home remedies to help it.
it worked, but I'd have to repeat every so often

When I was still living at home I had a bad smell in my room for a few months. Then one day I had a lamp plugged in and the outlet melted. The electrician said the smell was related to whatever problem it was with the electric. Not sure of the details though. The smell was really nasty, almost fishy but it wasnt constant.

I had a terrible smell coming from my dishwasher. It took me forever to figure out that is what it was. I was going crazy emptying the cabinets and closet next to the DW thinking there was a dead mouse or something. It was hard to tell it came from the DW.
I just ran a capful of bleach and then another cycle of just water and it totally worked.
Could it be coming from somewhere else?

thanks for the ideas.
when the mystery smell happens....we sniff in the bathroom, closets everywhere and cannot pinpoint any specific area.

u know.... the little jerk would do something to mess with me....BUT i noticed the smell once before he came home so i wish i could blame him!!!!
