Early Flights and Traveling with Toddler

I am sure some of you have done it. BUt has anyone taken a 630 am flight by yourself with a 3 or 4 year old? Pros , cons. Don't want to waste the day would like to get to Florida and have a whole day of doing things. I am traveling by myself, i was just going to rent a stroller there one less thing to drag through the airport. Pros, Cons?

i did but my DS was 1. i thought it was great because he doesn't nap on planes but because he was up so early, he was exhausted and actually DID sleepChat Icon
i tried to give him some breakfast before we left the house and then made sure i had some stuff on me - mini bagel, cheerios, etc. for the airport and flight when he finally was hungry to eat

Re: Early Flights and Traveling with Toddler

Is your little one normally cheerful in the morning? My kids were all morning babies, and I'm a morning person myself, so early flights worked out well for us. They'd crash early-to-mid-afternoon and then early to bed. Their schedule never really suffered, I just had to judge the evening plans AFTER they napped since I couldn't predict when they'd wipe out.

first flight out is great for us - kids are still tired they either sleep or are content just watching a dvd.

both times we flew with the kids (infant and toddler) we took a 6:30 flight out and the latest flight coming back - kids were exhausted and slept coming home
