For those who gray......

how often do you touch up your roots?
I just had my hair dyed about a month ago and they are already showing.

Re: For those who gray......

Every 6 weeks for single process.
It should really be every 4 weeks, but I try to stretch it and just pull my hair back. My hair grows fast, so by the end of week 2 I already see hints of gray.
I'm brunette too.

First off, I don't have gray hair, I have LIGHT BLACK HIGHLIGHTS. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Now that we got that out of the way, I should go every 4 weeks but I try to push it. I try to park my hair hoping to hide some but it doesn't work.

Re: For those who gray......

I used to be able to make it to 6 weeks but now after 3/4 it really need to be done. I have also noticed that my color doesn't last as long as it used to.

Re: For those who gray......

I stretch it for 6wks- but I know I should be in sooner.

I have a small gray patch at top of my head and small gray spaced all around but not as noticeable.

Either way it sucks!

Re: For those who gray......

I go every 4-6 weeks....6 weeks is really stretching it. I use a color treated shampoo and it seems to help make the color last longer

I do it at home every 4-6 weeks. Realistically it should ALWAYS be every 4 wks, but sometimes life gets busy and it stretches to 6.

Re: For those who gray......

My hair grows so fast! Usually by 3 weeks I need to do it again but sometimes I stretch it out using the grey cover mascara stuff, doesn't look that great, but I hate putting chemicals on my head so frequently! Getting older sucks!!

Re: For those who gray......

I just got mine done today....it was about 6 weeks from the last time and I really should have done it sooner. I had about an inch of gray roots showing which was really embarrassing if I ever put my hair back.
One of my students asked me if I was balding in a spot because the hair was so gray - that was 2 weeks ago.
I love everything about my hair except for the gray....
I can't wait until I'm in my 60's....I'm totally going all gray.

Re: For those who gray......

I never realized how fast my hair grew until I started covering my gray.

Should be 3-4 weeks, but my schedule and budget only allow for 4-6 weeks. 6 weeks is really way too long, but sometimes it happens.
