EdgePark Question- Doctors Approval
I am on an insurance plan that will cover 90% of the pump ONLY IF there is a medical necessity (doctors approval). I am not sure if my doctor will sign off on it. I placed the order with edge park on the morning of 3/31 (which was a Saturday) but was still told it would only take 48 hours to process. It is now Wed. 4/4 in the morning and it still says "pending" on the website. If you were in a similar situation, needing doctors approval... how long was it "pending" for? I'd really like to know the verdict by Friday the latest.

Re: EdgePark Question- Doctors Approval
I know that I actually received the pump before my doctor sent back the form to Edgepark. I saw my OB the day after I paid my balance to Edgepark and she said "Oh yea, I still need to fax that form for your breast pump" and she did it later that day. Well, the breast pump was at my door before I even got home that day. So, I guess in my case, they sent it out before they had her signed form. Did you pay the balance / copay yet?

Re: EdgePark Question- Doctors Approval
They didn't tell me what my balance or copay would be... DH didn't want to put a credit card in file in case they charged us for the entire thing if they didn't cover it due to lack of doctors approval.

Re: EdgePark Question- Doctors Approval
Gotcha. They might just send it once your copay is paid, like they did with mine. Try calling them today so they can update you on what they're doing :)
