to pilliterri girls....
did he ever ask you about your birth plan...or talk about how he views things/does things?
i am almost 36w and he never brought up...okay in hospital i do xyz if xyz happens...or how do you feel about epi's?
nada . nothing.
whats your experience been like?

i didnt see piliterri but why dont you just bring it up?
my OB didnt say anything and i mentioned it at my 28w appointment and he said that we'd talk about it when it got closer. go figure i delivered at 33w but no birth plan would've mattered at that point anyway.
i highly doubt most doctors will tell you that they "do xyz." most just expect you to do your own research, or HOPE that you don't so that they can run the show with no interference

i try to ask a question and i get one out...adn he is leaving the room. i dont know if its because he knows i see dr kofinas or what...but our visits are veryyyy short...which always bugged me...but i guessed i thought the closer i got the more he would try to "prepare" me?
i dont know... lol i know today at kofinas they asked me what our plans were with piliterri and i just stared at them. lol

Tell him "yo get back here! I have a question!". I hate that especially since you wait 3 hours in the waiting room there. You should at least be able to ask the questions you have. Next time say Kofinas' office told you to ask him.

I'm gonna say it: Told you so!
As for the birth plan, he ignored mine completely. We did discuss it and he still went against my wishes (and I didn't know until it was too late in regard to a certain medication he gave me that once started couldn't be suddenly stopped). I warned you, he is pushy and will be in L&D. Ask the nurse all the questions: what is that, why am I getting it, what are the alternatives, don't be bullied into anything you aren't comfortable with!! Ask and speak up for yourself is all I can say.

No need to say I told u so lol. I have only stayed because kofinas said he works best with pilliteri and bc I heart kofinas sooooooo much that why I have stayed. Sighhhh. Not sure what u mean by pushy in l and d though?

Go into your next appointment with a list. Then when he first walks in tell him you have 5 or 6 questions whatever it is. I am on my third pregnancy with him. We did discus a birth plan with my first and it was the same for my second. Really he just let me take the lead and did what I wanted unless it was not in the best interests of the baby. I wanted ds to stay and cook another week but his fluid was too low so he induced.
I know people have a love hate relationship with him. I happen to love him. He is usually running late because he spends extra time with the patients that need it. Yes it is annoying until you are the one receiving bad test results and need the extra time

I think he is pushy to induce and do a cs.
I was planning on switching because of this because I don't want a cs but now given my various issues it's definitely a possible thing. I'll still be fighting for what I want though as long as they babies are ok with it.
