If you are donating cord blood...
Do you still have to pay your Dr.'s collection fee? Or does someone pick up the tab for that?

You mean donate it and not bank it for yourself right? I donated my sons cord blood at LIJ and you pay nothing for that. They had me sign something... Can't remember if I signed before or after the csection and then afterwards they gave me paperwork with info on his storage number or whatever. They said in the event that I needed it and it was still available I could have access to it - but there's no guarantee that his would still be available... They don't hold it specifically for you.
