Caffeine
Let me just first say how uplifting & wonderful it is to see all these BFPs!!  Congrats!!!
My question though is we're doing iui this cycle--iui most likely will be next week--I usually drinking about 2 cans of soda a day along with lots of water. Should I cut out the soda completely at this pt? I meant to ask my RE this & I completely forgot. TIA!

I would cut out all caffeine. I stopped use of caffeine over a year ago, so it wasn't an issue for me. What WAS an issue was cutting out diet soda. I stopped drinking anything diet before I started injectables.
I say it's always better to err on the side of caution. Good luck next week!

I didn't cut out any caffeine until BFP. I drank 2 cups of coffee a day. Sometimes a SB iced coffe later and I only drank half -caff unsweetened iced tea all day. I dropped down to one cup of coffee a day once I got a BFP. Maybe make one can of soda a caffeine free.

I didn't cut out caffeine at all. I drink soda. I drank it throughout my 1st pregnancy and my DD is perfect :)
I don't drink a lot though.

Same here!!
I ate/drank everything when I was pregnant with my DS. Everything is OK in moderation.

Before I got my BFP I was a coffee fiend! I drank alot of coffee before my IUI and during the 2WW. I still got my BFP. The dr never said anything to me about cutting caffiene during an IUI cycle so I just drank my normal amount (equivalent to about 3-4 cups per day).

Caffeine may increase the rate of miscarriage so they tell you to limit it when you're pregnant. That being said, many drs say 1-2 cups a day is ok, especially during the 2ww.
For me, I had an IUI this weekend and I am trying to limit my caffeine, but I haven't completely cut it out. I'm sure if the IUI is going to work, it will, regardless of the caffeine. Once I'm pregnant, I'll eliminate caffeine as best I can.
That being said, the woman next to me at work is pregnant with her 3rd and she drinks coffee, eats cold cuts, lox and all the other DON'Ts. So go figure.

i didnt cut out any caffeine before I started the injectibles and only limited it to 1 maybe 2 cups of coffee a day after my BFP, everything in moderation

I was told limit to 8-10oz of caffeine a day during the 2ww. I would just try and cut down a bit. I drink 2 venti coffees a day so its rough for me!

You ladies are the best!  thanks for the responses. Moderation is what I'll go with and maybe after the IUI, try to lessen it a bit more. Thanks again
